My name is John Burns, I am the Hypnotherapist at Somerset Hypnotherapy. I trained with the highly regarded Chrysalis organisation to gain a Diploma in Hypnotherapy. I also trained with renowned American Hypnotherapist, Tom Silver. I am a member of the Hypnotherapy Society.
My Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) training was from the McKenna Breen organisation and I continue to refine and develop my skills through regular training in the latest techniques.
Originally my background was in Engineering and sales; I spent over 20 years working in that environment. Over the years I became more and more interested in the quality of our communications with each other. This led me to undertake training in NLP (with Paul McKenna, Richard Bandler & Michael Breen)and from that point I became more and more interested in the powerful effects that hypnosis can achieve.
I have also trained in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), a powerful non-hypnosis method for change. It has been used with issues as diverse as physical pain and dealing with phobias. The wonderful thing about this method, is that I can teach you how to use it for yourself, for all kinds of situations.
I generally work with evening appointments (normally Tuesday & Wednesday) and some Saturday mornings.
